FAQ {eff ey kju} = Frequently asked question =
Häufig gestellte Fragen FAQ (jetzt ohne Punkte) haben ihre CD "Is
pornography art ? " fertiggestellt. Mp3 files gibt es hier auf der
Page. Interessant hierbei die Zusammenarbeit von FAQ mit dem Apoptygma
Berzerk Sänger Stephan Groth. Noch bemerkenswerter die Zusammenarbeit
von FAQ mit dem Us-Modell Jenna Jameson.

Diesmal mit einem Produzenten: Thomas Daverio von der Band Kartagon.
Wer die erste Kostprobe dieser Zusammenarbeit auf dem EBM-Radiosampler
oder auf der Bandpage gehört hat, wird feststellen das FAQ wie
ausgewechselt sind. Waren früher die Songs eher minimalistischer, so
klingen sie nun wie eine Mischung aus Placebo and Underworld. Pille,
der neue Gitarrist, sorgt ebenfalls für mehr leben in den Songs ohne
jedoch die electronischen Wurzeln zu übertönen.

F.A.Q kommen aus der Schweiz. Die Zeitung Popcorn betietelte die Band als "Schweizer aushängeschild für Wave-Musik".
Wenn
auch der Schritt, den Namen (Carpe Diem) nach 6 Jahren abzulegen nicht
einfach fiel, so bleibt die Band dem Motto treu und wird weiterhin den
„häufig gestellten Fragen“ des Lebens nachgehen - mit möglichst grossem
Nutzen!

Im Frühling 2003 meldet sich das CHarismatische Electro Trio (Philip
Noirjean, Dino Zizzari, Mary Santella) aus der Schweiz gleich doppelt
zurück: Nebst dem neuen Longplayer „Carpe Diem“, trägt die Band einen
neuen Namen: F.A.Q
Unter genanntem Albumtitel (Carpe Diem) hat sich
das Schweizer Aushängeschild für Wave-Musik einen Namen in der
internationalen Electro-Wave-Szene gemacht durch Auftritte mit Bands
wie Deine Lakaien, De/Vision, Mesh, oder Clan of Xymox. Als support auf
der Apoptygma Berzerk „Welcome to Earth“ Tour und der Veröffentlichung
der zwei Longplayer „Re-Substitute“ und „Self-Fulfilling Prophecy“, hat
sich die damals noch Carpe Diem lautende Band, definitiv in der Szene
etabliert. Der Maxi-Titeltrack THEM wurde vom russischen Star-Produzent
DJ RAM remixed und für VIRTUAL SERVER, einer internationalen
Zusammenarbeit von diversen Künstler aus der Electro-Branche, haben
Phil und DJ RAM den Song BULLET geschrieben. Die letzte Carpe Diem
Klappe fiel auf dem M’era Luna Festival 2002 an welchem Philip Noirjean
zum Konzert-Abschluss den De/Vision Song „Endlose Träume“ im Duett mit
Vision-Steffen gesungen hat. Nach langer Pause und
Namens-Komplikationen, welche einerseits zu Verwechslungen führte und
anderseits eine ungeklärte Rechtslage mit sich trug, ist die Band
zurück und bereit für Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q). Um den Link
zum früheren Bandnamen herzustellen, heisst ihr im März erscheinender
Longplayer „Carpe Diem“. Die Gelegenheit, „neu“ anzufangen haben die
drei Schweizer genutzt um neue musikalische Richtungen einzuschlagen.
Wenn sich auch F.A.Q nicht völlig von ihrem bisher typischen Sound
distanziert hat, so sind doch deutlich neue Ansätze hörbar. Keyboarder
Dino verließ die Band Frühjahr 2003 und für ihn kam der gitarriste
Pille in die Band.

FAQ (now written without dots) have released the CD "Is pornography
art?" . Now you can hear some mp3 samples on this page. Very
intresting on this cd is the cooperation of FAQ with the Apoptygma
Berzerk singer Stephan Groth. Much more bombastic is the cooperation of
FAQ with the US modell Jenna Jameson. There are heavy live activities.

Phil: Voice, Lyrics and Guitar

Pille: Guitar
The early name "Carpe Diem" was not up to date anymore and caused some misunderstandings with other bands.
The band is now produced by Thomas Daverio (Kartagon).

Dino (Sound), Phil (voice, lyrics), Mary (violins), that was carpe Carpe Diem
Phil
(voice, lyrics), Mary (violins), Pille (Guitar) thats F.A.Q. Since
years they create their own style of electronic music. In combination
with the charismatic singer they get a well good name and worked
continiously. Carpe Diem / F.A.Q toured with Apoptygma Berzerk in 2000
through Europe, and played also with DE/VISION, Mesh, Deine Lakaien,
Clan of xymox and In strinct confidence. Carpe Diem / F.A.Q are also
changing and developping themselves from darkpop to modern popmsic.
From now they call themself just "F.A.Q" (frequently asked questions).
You will find the answeres in their music.
